Roger S. Scurci, 54, founder of Dessert Deli, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in his Williamsville home.
Mr. Scurci grew up in Williamsville and graduated from Williamsville South High School. He later received a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University at Buffalo.
He owned and operated a swimming pool service company, Pool Brite, for several years until he founded Dessert Deli in 1987. He was a co-owner and manager until 1996.
Throughout those years, he also was involved in real estate sales and property management until his health began to fail in 2003 from complications of juvenile diabetes.
Mr. Scurci is survived by his parents, Daniel and Lucy, and a sister, Ellisa.
