Wayne J. Lachut of Amherst, has been elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Erie, Penn. He is a past potentate of the Ismailia Shriners of Buffalo and a past president of the New York Ontario Shrine Association. He has also served the Ismailia Shriners as Circus Chairman since 1999, as a past president of the Kenmore Shrine Club and as New York Deputy Chairman for Donor Relations. Lachut has been a member of the Erie Shriners Hospital board for five years, and is the owner of the McMahon Insurance Agency in Buffalo.

The Canisius College Center for Professional Development will offer a management development program from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. Fridays from March 9 through May 11 at the Center at Amherst, 300 Corporate Parkway.
