Micron Red Sabres win shootout over Blue Sabres

In a game filled with lots of scoring, the Micron Red Sabres defeated the Blue Sabres, 12-11, on Saturday.

The game was filled with lots of scoring as the two teams played incredible offense and the goalies were continually tested. Both teams showing much spirit till the bitter end.

Red Sabre Ben Weppner started the scoring first. Liam Ivenson countered for the Blue Sabres to tie it at 1-1.

The scoring continued from both sides.Weppner finished with five goals and Jeffrey Cummins had a hat trick and Cameron Briere and Matthew Barbolini scored two goals each for the Red Sabres.

Ivenson, Dante Santora, Liam Gallagher, Eli Utz and Sal Farrauto each scored twice for the Blue Sabres. Alex Scarroza added a goal.

The Red Sabres finished with 20 shots on goal while the Blue Sabres had 25. Donavan McCann was in net for the Blue Sabres, Michael Floccare tended goal for the Red Sabres.

Both goalies were unbelievable with the amount of shots they faced, as it was like a pinball game on ice.
