Revolution U-12 keep rolling, defeats Akron Wave

The Amherst Revolution (4-0) played its most complete game of the girls U-12 Soccer Epic Center season, winning 10-1 last Friday over the very determined Akron Wave.

The game was close early until the Revolution changed the tide and the scoring surge began.

Leading the way in scoring for the Revolution were Angela Sobotka and Carissima Cutrona with three goals each. Cathryn Mahon scored twice. Sarah Eichhorn and Alicia Girard had one goal each.

Mahon and Christine Murphy were very good in goal for the Revolution when tested.

Margaux Gill, Morgaine Houston, Nika Berrafato, Kaitlyn Neese and Courtney Kramer made great offense plays. Shannon Doherty, Alyssa Cartwright and Kaitlin Walsh turned in tremendous midfield plays.

All the Revolution players played defensive positions throughout the game and airtight defense.

After a bye, the Revolution will resume play on Feb. 17.
