'FIRST TO FIGHT'
A memorial to honor the 24th infantry division who fought in World War II, the Korean War and the Gulf War, is unveiled by Daniel Rockert, monument committee chairman, and Kenneth Fentner, former artillery battalion of the 24th infantry division. The 24th Infantry Monument, which was dedicated on Jan. 24 at the Botanical Gardens, will be moved to Hawaii to mark the Punchbowl where many soldiers of that division lost their lives. The infantry gained the name "The Victory Division."
