Couple marks 65 years with family, seniors

Mr. and Mrs. Val Lesniak

Ann and Val Lesniak of Tonawanda celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a Mass at St. Benedict's Church in Eggertsville followed by a family dinner. They also celebrated with the St. Benedict's Seniors at the Feb. 7 meeting.

Val Lesniak married the former Ann Palko on Feb. 7, 1942 at Holy Trinity Church in McKeesport, Pa.

Val is retired from Westinghouse, and Ann is a homemaker. They are lifelong members of St. Benedict's Church, and Val is a past president of the Holy Name Organization and the St. Benedict's Seniors.

The couple enjoys playing bridge and pinochle and traveling. They also organize bus tours for the St. Benedict's Seniors and are former square dancers.

They have three children and five grandchildren.
