Medaille College relocates Amherst Campus Medaille College will move its Amherst campus to 30 Wilson Road in Williamsville. The 50,000-square-foot facility will house Medaille's School of Adult and Graduate Education, including the accelerated learning program, graduate programs and the Canadian education programs. Currently Medaille College houses the Buffalo area adult and graduate programs in two different facilities on Essjay Road, as well as on the main campus in Buffalo. More than 1,200 students are enrolled in these programs at the different facilities. Medaille also operates a branch campus in Rochester which is unaffected by this transition. "The Wilson Road facility presents a great opportunity for Medaille," said Richard K. Davis, interim president. "While we have been able to grow our adult programs, the new Amherst campus allows us to move these programs into one location and create a better college setting for these students. "With this lease we are committing to the long-term growth of these adult programs. We will be able to offer a college campus which is better equipped to meet their needs." Classes are scheduled to move into the state-of-the-art facility by May 21; and although there will be construction within the building, Medaille plans to have the entire building operational by August of this year. The 10-year lease for use of the facility was brokered by J.R. Militello Realty. |
