Spaghetti dinner

to benefit staff member

A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 at Amherst Central High School to benefit the Boccolucci Family. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under, and free for those under 2. Dessert will be available for purchase. There will be entertainment by "Toast," a basket auction and 50/50 raffle. Free tax help offered

Free tax help will be offered for people 60 and older by certified volunteers from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at Audubon Library, located at 350 J.J. The Amherst Youth Board will hold its "Service to Youth" Awards dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Classic's Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd. The cost is $30 for adults, $20 for youth. The awards acknowledge the efforts of those who have devoted countless hours of service to the children and youth of the community, as well as recognizes those who have made outstanding financial contributions to the youth programs in 2006. The event will be sponsored by Evans National Bank. The dinner is open to the public and available for $6 presale, $7 at the door.

A father-child spaghetti dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at Fellowship Wesleyan Church, 1645 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. Grandfathers and uncles are also invited. The Forest Stream Garden Club will celebrate its 65th Anniversary at an afternoon Tea on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the North Presbyterian Church in Williamsville. St. Mary's to hold

Vegas Night

St. Mary's of Swormville will host its annual Vegas Night from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Feb. 10 at 6919 Transit Road in East Amherst. Games will include Blackjack, Money Wheels, Best Hand Poker, Over/Under and Beat the Dealer. In addition, there will be bell-jar tickets, 50/50 raffles, and a liquor and lottery raffle.
