Noise report leads to dark house on Sunshine Drive

Friday, Jan. 19
+ A complainant driving on Main Street complained that a group of six youths were throwing snowballs and hit the car.
+ The high school on Hopkins Road reported two microphones and a microphone cord were stolen sometime during the previous week. The theft was estimated at $50.
+ A building on Harlem Road was sprayed with graffiti sometime during the night.
+ Police responded to a Niagara Falls Boulevard store about a man wearing a ski mask who took a pair of sunglasses.
Saturday, Jan. 20
+ A group of youths with a 30-pack of beer were reported on Amherst Manor Drive. The complainant said the teens were throwing empty cans onto the baseball field.
+ A Maple Road business reported catching a group on video tape that was trying to get money with "bad" money orders. The manager thought the male suspect was a scam artist.
+ A Richfield Road resident complained that a snowmobiler was driving on the sidewalk toward the dead end near Wehrle Drive. Police advised the snowmobiler.
+ Inspection stickers were stolen from a Main Street business. The suspect was an employee that was let go the day before.
Sunday, Jan. 21
+ A Transit Road resident told police she thought damage to an outside light on her house was the result of an ongoing neighbor dispute.
+ A Campbell Boulevard resident called police after catching an animal in a trap that was in the fireplace. The resident was afraid to open the trap.
+ A resident of a group home on Sunrise Boulevard reported that someone attempted to open a window. Police reported that the window was partially open and there were footprints around the window.
+ On Sunshine Drive, a neighbor complained of loud drums and youths going into the house next door with beer. When police arrived they found a dark house and did not hear drums.
Monday, Jan. 22
+ On Plantation Court, a complainant reported that youths were wrestling in the street, trying to get each other into the trunk of a car. Police reported they were gone on arrival.
+ A vehicle fire on Wehrle Drive caused $15,000 in damages to a vehicle and $5,000 to the building.
+ On Farber Lane, a group of 40 youths were blocking the street.
+ A Main Street restaurant employee reported that a female took $5 from him and went to the bus stop. The money was returned.
Tuesday, Jan. 23
+ On Harlem Road, a resident complained that a BMW was blocking a sidewalk, and it interfered with her walking her dog.
+ An Allenhurst Road resident had one trash can and one recycling receptacle taken.
+ A resident locked out of her apartment on Alberta Drive called for assistance because food was cooking on the stove inside.
+ Reckless operation was re- ported on Millersport Highway involving a man who went into a gas station, bought a cigar and left. The suspect appeared intoxicated or high, according to the clerk. However, the man told the clerk his behavior was from lack of sleep.
Wednesday, Jan. 24
+ A suspicious person was reported on Transit Road for circling a lot three times before parking and pulling something out of his trunk. He had pulled out a pack of gum, then went into Tim Hortons for coffee.
+ Police responded to an unoccupied sled on Hopkins Road. The area was checked to make sure the owner of the sled wasn't injured. There were no injured sledders.
+ On Hopkins Road, a drug deal was reported involving two males exchanging money for an envelope. Reportedly the situation had happened there before.
Thursday, Jan. 25
+ Police assisted Tonawanda Police on Leonore Road where a person was involved in a fight with swords. Two people were taken into custody, and the house was searched.
+ A business on Maple Road reported that $5 in gasoline was taken.
+ A complainant called police because of concern about a jogger's safety on Hopkins Road.
+ The report of someone threatening to rob a Mighty Taco on Transit Road was described as a big misunderstanding.
