John Oates and Diane Kondor

Mary Ann and William Kondor of East Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane Kondor, to John Oates, son of Margaret and Thomas Oates of Columbus, Ohio.

Miss Kondor is a 1996 graduate of Nardin Academy. She received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Georgetown University in 2000 and her law degree from American University in 2005. She is an attorney in the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Her fiance is a 1996 graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville, Ky. He received his bachelor's degree in international politics from Georgetown University in 2000. He received his master's degree in political science from the University of Chicago in 2005. He is a doctoral student studying political science at Ohio State University.

An April 2007 wedding is planned.
