' Hey, Big Spender'

Remember the teenage Molly Ringwald in "The Breakfast Club," "Pretty In Pink," "Sixteen Candles" and other films? Well, she's all grown up now, and is as sweet as ever in "Sweet Charity," Feb. 6-11 at Shea's Performing Arts Center.

Ringwald plays Charity Hope Valentine, who is a true original eternal optimist - and the unluckiest romantic in New York Cit y.

"Sweet Charity's tuneful score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields features hits like "Hey, Big Spender," "There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This" and "If My Friends Could See Me Now." "Sweet Charity" also features a hilarious story by Neil Simon.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 6-8; 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10; and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Tickets are $24.50 to $57.50 and are available at the box office, 650 Main St., and through Ticketmaster.com, 852-5000, www.ticketmaster.com.
