A playwright is in danger from his mentor in "Deathtrap," Feb. 2-11 at the Lancaster Opera House.
Produced by The Mystery Company, this Ira Levin thriller puts a diabolical spin on plagiarism. Playwright Sidney Bruhl's student, Clifford, has submitted a superb script called "Deathtrap" to his teacher - who in turn wants to kill him and claim the script as his own. But when Clifford is lured to the Bruhl home, a blurred line emerges between truth and deception.
The production features Les Bailey, David Mitchell, Diane McNamara, Diane Bly and Bob Wagner.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 2 and 3, 9 and 10; 2:30 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 4 and 11; and 2 p.m. Feb. 8. Tickets are $16 for adults, and $14 for seniors and students. For tickets and more information, call 683-1776 or visit www.lancopera.org.
