On the Campus

Rebecca Shank of Amherst is the recipient of the GEICO Achievement Award for academic excellence, involvement in extra curricular activity and service to the community. In recognition of her achievements, she will receives a $1,000 Scholarship from GEICO. Rebecca currently holds a 3.66 grade point average at Buffalo State College where she is a sophomore business administration major with a minor in business economics.

Melissa Montgomery, Vathani Packianathan and Julie Schmidt of Amherst have been inducted into the Psi Chi Honor Society at Canisius College.

Shannon Trabert of Snyder has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at De Pauw University. She is the daughter of Tom and Barb Trabert of Snyder and is a 2004 graduate of Amherst Central High School.

Kelly Magoffin of Williamsville has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Duquesne University. She is the daughter of Jerry and Dawn Magoffin.

Robert Cornwell of Williamsville has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Keuka College. He is the son of James and Cheryl Cornwell of Williamsville.

Michelle Herberger of Getzville has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Keuka College. She is the daughter of Steven and Joanne Herberger of Getzville.

Emily Charlton of Williamsville has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Cortland College.

William M. Hays of Snyder has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Cortland College. He is the son of James and Ruth Hays of Snyder and is a 2006 graduate of Amherst Central High School.

Kelly Maine of Amherst has been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at Brockport College. She is the daughter of Linda and Jeff Maine.
