EXPRESSION THROUGH ART
Madeline Aronica, a third grade student at Willow Ridge Elementary, was selected as the second place winner in the NYS Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fine Arts Contest. Her drawing captured a segment from the "Six Principles of Nonviolence" of Dr. King's legacy, and she expressed the meaning of this year's theme, "Embrace the Dream." She received an award at the WNY Martin Luther King Kickoff Celebration at Buffalo State College and a proclamation from the governor's office. She is pictured with her art teacher Charlotte Braun.
