Financial aid
workshop to be held

The Office of Financial Aid at Niagara County Community College will hold a Financial Aid Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon. The Workshop is part of the State University of New York's State Wide Financial Aid Day. Kathleen O'Connell, a representative from M & T Bank, will be the keynote speaker. Also on hand will be NCCC's financial aid counselors to assist both current and future students with information on how to find financial aid, how to apply and assist with the application process. Coming Together for WNY

The members of the Western New York Group of Financial Women International will be hosting the 21st Annual Fundraiser and Special Event to benefit Compass House, WHYME House Foundation, and the FWI Scholarship Fund. This year's "Coming Together for WNY" Fundraiser will be held at The Ironworkers Hall located at 196 Orchard Park Rd. in West Seneca from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007. Tickets are $20 ($25 at the door) and there will be both a Chinese Auction and a Live Auction, featuring Sandy Beach as the auctioneer. Music will be supplied by the Stone Bridge Band and the price of admission includes a buffet, beer, pop, and a chance to win a $500 cash door prize. For more information, call 625-7029.

Cheektowaga Chamber hosts sweet affair

The Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce will hold its "Sweet Affair," on Friday Feb. 2 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Millennium Airport Hotel located at 2040 Walden Avenue. The event will feature sweets from a variety of merchants throughout the area. For more information, call 684-5838.
