Stella overcomes flu to win another tournament

      Not even the flu could stop Nic Stella from dominating a wrestling tournament. The Sweet Home junior won his fifth wrestling tournament this season with a first place showing at the Joe Shifflet Sweet Home Invitational held last Friday and Saturday at Sweet Home.

      Max Cohen has never taken first place in a wrestling tournament, but last Saturday was his time to shine. The Williamsville junior co-captain went 3-0 at 125 pounds to win at the Lew-Port Lancer's Pete Rao Memorial Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

North continues successful season on mat

      The Williamsville East-West Seneca East boys swimming meet last Friday came down to one event and Matt Geiger made sure the Flames left Transit Middle Pool as victors. Geiger swan a personal-best leg of 49.7 of the 400-yard freestyle relay to lift East to a 93-92 win.
