Kindel plans to run for reelection

Town of Amherst Council Member Bill Kindel will be seeking another term in office.

He will make his announcement at noon Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Protocol Restaurant, 6788 Transit Road, Amherst. The event is $25 per person.

At the fundraiser luncheon, Kindel will outline his goal for a "Lucky 7" run for the town council.

He will focus on keeping Amherst: safe - full funding every year for police, volunteer fire services, court and EMS; green - acquire more publicly owned land for flood control, farming and urban greenery and affordable - working to eliminate wasteful, unneeded county government.
