Sanchez to be charged with two murders, evidence lacking in Diver case

      Alleged bike path rapist Altemio Sanchez was expected to be arraigned on two counts of second-degree murder Tuesday. Police believe Sanchez, of Cheektowaga, is responsible for the rape and murder of University at Buffalo student Linda S. Yalem in 1990 and Majane Mazur in 1992.

Northern Hopkins Road access open to local traffic only
      The Erie County Department of Highways will close Hopkins Road from Schoelles Road north to Tonawanda Creek Road, except to local two-way traffic. The speed limit in this section will be reduced to 30 mph. The closure is expected the end of the week, weather pending.
