.A dose of reality: we hear that parking will return along the subway lines, supposedly to bring back business. Realty is there was no business to speak of prior to the subway. With all the malls, you can pull up to the store, get your widget and be gone. I suggest we don't return parking, but use the money to build up new subway lines to the south and north towns. Also, it's about time we say goodbye to Bass Pro and added the incentive money to the new subway.

.Watching the Amherst Town Board in action is like watching rats trying to find their way out of the maze. Running around helter skelter with no sense of direction is getting to be ridiculous. Hopefully, the next election will eliminate some of the problems.

.I was at the town board meeting Monday night, and I saw Shelly Schratz in action during the entire process. She has the gall to claim that the process is a disgrace; she is the one who causes it to be such a disgrace. She voted one way and then imediately changed her mind, throwing everything into chaos.

.I found it interesting that Council Member Schratz complained about the last town board meeting being disgraceful. Anyone who watches the town board meetings on cable can see that she is regularly responsible for a great deal of the contentious and hostile climate of the town board.

.To the people who park along the curb in front of the post office on Sheridan Drive, this is a no parking fire lane zone. There are three signs stating that. What don't you understand about this? There were three cars parked there the other day; one had to walk around them to enter the post office.

.We have had very little snow in Amherst and there are still cut tree branches at the curb. Why didn't the branches get picked up along with the Christmas trees?
