It's Mozart's birthday - and 251 years later his music will be played by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in an all-Mozart program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Kleinhans Music Hall.
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Resident Conductor Robert Franz will lead the orchestra in Sinfonia Concertante in E Flat Major for Violin, Viola and Orchestra, K364, performed by violinist Ansgarius Aylward and violist Valerie Heywood.
Also featured on this special program is a selection of arias from "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Magic Flute," and "Cosi Fan Tutte," sung by a cast of singers.
The program will also feature the light-hearted and brilliant "Overture to The Magic Flute" and the famous quintet and ever-enchanting "Pa-Pagena! Pa-Pageno!"
Kleinhans Music Hall is located at Symphony Circle, off Richmond Avenue, Buffalo. For tickets, call 885-5000 or visit www.bpo.org.
