Scholarship winners named for St. Mary's

St. Mary's High School in Lancaster recently named the scholarship winners, including a Williamsville resident.

The scholarships, with a total value of more than $85,000, were awarded to students who will be freshmen in the next school year. Scholarship awards were based on a scholarship test, applications, letters of recommendation and/or personal essays.

Grace Daigler of Williamsville was awarded the Fr. Leon Ross Scholarship.

The Admissions Committee of St. Mary's High School named the students who have been accepted as members of the class of 2011.

They are: Maria Barone from East Amherst; Grace Daigler from Williamsville; Megan Elman from East Amherst; Taylor Leavens from Amherst; Grace Liptak from East Amherst; Colin Losito from Williamsville; Brett Martinsen from Williamsville; Sean McNamara from Williamsville; and Mary Spencer from Williamsville.
