+ TIME TO GET DOWN TO WORK - I couldn't agree more with one of last week's Bee Heards that asked Town Board members to stop explaining every vote they take. They often ramble on, explaining everything that led up to their voting preference. When something as insignificant as requesting a meeting is proposed, vote and move on. Nobody needs to hear a point by point reason for the decision to say aye or nay. Supervisor Satish Mohan finally recognized that this has caused a huge waste of time in the past and called the Town Board out on the matter at its Jan. 16 meeting.

He asked the board why a resolution that ended in a 7-0 vote took such a long time to vote on. Well, Supervisor Mohan, it's an answer we have been waiting for. Let us know when you get an answer to these soap box speeches.

Mohan also made a statement about board members dragging up the insignificant past. After listening to a board member go on about the entire history of a resolution, he called for the vote, stating, "That was last year." We couldn't agree more that this board needs to focus on the future and not who did or did not do something in the past.
