RECOGNITION
Art Richtand, 84, an associate teaching professional at Amherst Hills Tennis Club for the past 17 years, will receive the Professional Tennis Registry Eastern Section "President's Award" on Jan. 20 at the annual USTA/PTR. An awards dinner will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, N.Y. Richtand is being honored for his lifetime involvement in the sport of tennis. In addition to teaching, he was a former Canadian National Senior Doubles Champion, won the MUNY Open Doubles and Mixed Doubles Titles and was Buffalo's Marsh Cup Captain for 13 years.
