+ There will be a special on sale event for tickets for Monty Python's Tony Award-winning musical "Spamalot," starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 only at the Shea's Performing Arts Center box office. Internet and Ticketmaster charge by phone (852-5000) will be available starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20. Tickets range from $27.50 to $67.50. For groups of 20 or more, call 829-1154. Performances are May 1-6. There will also be activities in the Shea's lobby, including food, beverage, games, merchandise giveaways from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and free movie, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," at 7:30 p.m.

+ Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 19 for The Shrine Circus, March 15-18, at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $8 for children under 10, and are available at the Shrine Circus office, 1600 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca, the Agri-Center box office and all Tops supermarkets. + Tickets are now available for "An Evening with Tony Galla," at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Cardinal O'Hara High School, 39 O'Hara Road, off Delaware Ave., Tonawanda. Tickets are $30 and are available by calling 695-2600, Ext. 310. Premier and VIP sponsorships are also available. Seating is limited.

+ The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County will hold "Getting Boards on Board, the Path From Well-Intended Volunteerism to Effective Volunteer Leadership," from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 at The Karpeles Museum, North Hall, 220 N. Street, Buffalo. Workshop provides volunteers and chief executives of area arts and cultural not-for-profits the tools and informat i on to build partnerships.
