Jason Lambrino and Katie Scherer

Linda and Thomas Scherer of Clarence Center announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Scherer, to Jason Lambrino, son of Elaine and Don Lambrino of Endicott, N.Y.

Miss Scherer is a 2002 graduate of Clarence High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Cortland State College in 2006 and is pursuing her master's degree in literacy at Niagara University. She is a reading specialist with the Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia.

Her fiance is a 2000 graduate of Union-Endicott High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from Binghamton University in 2003 and received his juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 2006. He is an attorney with the FBI in Winchester, Va.

A July 2008 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Church in Swormville. The couple will reside in Winchester, Va.
