North surprises at own tournament
Spartans crown four champions, win overall for first time in school history

      Williamsville North wrestling coach Brian Swatland was hoping for a top-five finish at his team's own tournament on Saturday and got more than he asked for. The Spartans crowned four champions and placed first. North had 153½ points, 5½ more than second-place Pioneer.

      Terrell Rankin shouldn't have dressed at Lancaster on Thursday but Sweet Home coach Paul Schintzius is glad he did. The Sweet Home senior fought through the flu to score a team-high 18 points in the Panthers' 68-58 road win. The 18 points gives Rankin 1,015 career points.
