North Buffalo Pee Wee Major closes out 2006 with shutout win

The North Buffalo Bisons ended 2006 by defeating Batavia No. 2, 2-0, on Dec. 23.

Jimmy Basil (Amherst) got the shutout between the pipes.

Scoring for Buffalo were Kyle Moslow (from Josh Little and Marc Bezbatchenko (Amherst)), and Oscar Ostendorf, unassisted. Rickey Wiorkowski, Jordan Rusek (Amherst), Dean Arthur (Amherst), Andrew Rampado, Alex Laversa, John Lenahan, Sean Basil, Little, Max Capizzi, Mason Evans, JC Grabenstatter (Amherst), John Hettrick, and Austin Kneer (Amherst) combined to kill off eight penalties while allowing a total of four shots on goal during the 16 minutes of being one man down.

The Bisons lost, 2-1, to the Southtown Stars on Dec. 31. Andrew Werynski tended net for Buffalo, who is now tied for third place with the Stars in WNYAHL league play.
