Erica L. Zimmerman and John P. Stahrr

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zimmerman, formerly of Clarence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Lea Zimmerman, to John Patrick Stahrr, son of Patricia and Peter Stahrr of Lancaster.

Miss Zimmerman is a 1991 graduate of Clarence Senior High School. She holds a bachelor's degree from Binghamton University, a master's degree from the University of Arizona, and a doctoral degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is an assistant professor of Japanese at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Her fiance is a 1992 graduate of Lancaster High School and has a bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College and a master's degree from the University of Virginia. He is the technical director at American University in Washington, D.C.

A June 2007 wedding is planned in Annapolis.
