A birthday party for a boarder at a seedy seaside house turns into an ominous, threatening and dark celebration in the Irish Classical Theatre Co. production of "The Birthday Party," Jan. 12-Feb. 11.
Harold Pinter's comedy marks the return of Irish Classical Theatre Company's co-founder and Artistic Director Vincent O'Neill and ICTC Artist-in-Residence Josephine Hogan, together on the stage of the Andrews Theatre for the first time since ICTC's 2005 production of "She Stoops to Conquer." O'Neill and Hogan play Goldberg and Meg. The cast also includes Gerry Maher as Petey, Todd Benzin as Stanley, Leah Russo as Lulu and Guy Wagner as McCann.
Opening night is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12. Performances continue at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at 625 Main St., Buffalo.
Tickets are $35 to $40, with senior tickets ranging from $30 to $33. Student tickets will be sold at the box office one hour before curtain in person only for $15 each for students under 25 with a valid student ID. For tickets, call 853-4282.
