East Amherst resident Andrew Orpik has recorded two goals and two assists in 14 games for the Boston College University men’s hockey team.

Orpik has scored one power-play goal and one game-winning goal. He has enjoyed one multiple-point performance and two career multiple-point efforts. He netted the decisive goal in a 4-1 victory over No. 2 Wisconsin on Oct. 28.

The annual Penguin Run to benefit Cradle Beach, to be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at 8038 Old Lakeshore Road, will be headquartered at Classics V Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

Runners can preregister for the race before Jan. 23 at www.cradlebeach. org. Preregistration before the race date is encouraged, but participants can also register on race day beginning at 9 a.m. The preregistration entrance fee is $22 with day-of-race registration at $25.

A post-party banquet after the race is included in the participant’s entrance fee. Prizes and awards are given during the post-party banquet. Non-runners also also welcome to attend the post-party banquet for a nominal fee. A theme-basket auction and a 50/50 raffle will also be held.
