Main-Transit Fire Department Explorers names 2007 officers

Main-Transit Fire Department Exempt Association recently installed its 2007 officers.

The Honorable Town of Amherst Justice Geoffrey Klein installed — President Thomas Varano, Vice President Thomas Hurley, Sr., Secretary Gary Stillman and Treasurer Douglas Roba.

Board of directors are Jerry Cyrek, Thomas Hurley, Roba, Stillman and Varano.

The Exempt Association supports firefighters of Main-Transit Fire Department at many functions throughout the year with former firefighters who are now exempt from responding to calls.

Main-Transit Fire Department Explorer Post 2283 also named its 2007 officers.

Elected were — President Ian Mackowski, Vice President Kelly Rusin, Secretary Nicholas Cino, Treasurer Theresa Mazurek and Sergeant At Arms Stephen Sroka.

Also, Captain Ryan Blendowski and Lieutenants Andrew Mazurek and Andrew Fischer were elected. Disciplinary Board Members are Kyle Townsend, Nicholas Karl and Fischer.

The Explorer officers will be installed in an upcoming banquet.
