Jaros Town Clerk Town of Amherst Jan. 3 LEGAL NOTICE Public Hearing Town of Amherst FY 2007 Draft Action Plan Community Development Block Grant Home Investment Partnership Grant A public hearing will be held on January 16, 2007 for the Action Plan covering the period April 1, 2007 - March 31, 2008 for the Town of Amherst. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit the views of citizens, public agencies and other interested parties on housing and community development needs, as well as comments on the Draft Action Plan, which is available for public review in local libraries. The Action Plan sets goals for addressing housing and community development needs and delineates federal programs that will be used to meet those goals. Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME (Amherst-Cheektowaga-Tonawanda Consortium) grants that the Town applies for will be covered by the Plan. Maximum anticipated funding levels for these programs for Federal FY 2007 are: CDBG: $ 611,000 HOME Consortium (3 towns): $1,121,000 Those wishing to offer comments at the public hearing are encouraged to submit a written text, as well.
