MusicalFare Theatre will be giving fans of Joni Mitchell something to get excited about when “Familiar Strangers, Featuring the Songs of Joni Mitchell” is performed from Jan. 10-Feb. 11.

The world premiere of “Familiar Strangers” features exquisite dance and the breathtaking music of Mitchell in a story of a woman who imagines relationships with the people she sees every day outside of her window — “familiar strangers.”

The cast of nine is directed by Michael J. Walline, who also conceived and choreographed the show. Featured are Terrie George, Loraine O’Donnell, Kelly Cammarata, Robert J. Cooke, Nicole Marrale Cimato, Christopher M. Howard, Marc Stacco, Kristy Schupp and Doug Weyand. Musical direction is by Michael G. Hake.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays at MusicalFare, located at Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst. Tickets are $28 and $32 and are available by calling 839-8540.
