Sweet Home High School to compete in Tech Wars

Fourteen Western New York school districts, including Sweet Home, will take part in the 10th annual Tech Wars to be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Niagara County Community College.

More than 540 students will take part in a creative and academically based technology competition in the college’s main gymnasium beginning at 9 a.m.

Students in local schools design and build robots, cars and other technology based projects that they enter into a wide variety of competitions against other schools and students.

Tech Wars began in 1997 as a way to bring students together to engage in friendly academic competitions. Their designs, ideas and strategies help them relate real world applications to their learning.
