.A caller last week about the gas street lights in Dana Heights is correct. Their condition is deplorable ever since the town took over the maintenance about 10 years ago. Zero maintenance, occasional repair. During the October storm, many were knocked over and removed by the cleanup crew. They are plain old gone! In the windy days of November, many are blown out and they remain out. The town should repair and then maintain the lights or replace with electric lights, or just remove them and take them off the tax bills.

.I am opposed to Wal-Mart at Bailey and Sheridan, because the roads here are not large enough to handle all the traffic, and we are not going to be able to shop in that area if they build there.

.Regarding the comment about the out-of-town tree company working on Woodbury and Hedstrom, those workers worked for National Grid as a subcontractor trimming about high-tension power lines. They did not cost taxpayers any money. The caller should do their homework first.
