Barnes & Noble to open new store on Oct. 24
      Barnes & Noble Inc. will open a new bookstore on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the plaza at Main and Transit at 4401 Transit Road, Clarence. Concurrently, the existing store at 7370 Transit Road, Williamsville, will close. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee.

The Irishman Pub and Eatery names head chef
      The Irishman Pub and Eatery, located at 5601 Main St. in Williamsville, has recently added Sunday hours to its schedule. Now open on Sundays from noon to midnight, The Irishman serves a full menu of lunch and dinner. Also among the changes, a new head chef was appointed.
