Williamsville Farmer's Market continues

The Williamsville Farmer's Market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Oct. 27 at the Williamsville Water Mill, 56 E. Spring St. Locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers will be available. Entertainment this week will be provided by Kevin Doyle from the Latin Jazz Project . Flu shots will also be available from 8 a.m. to noon this week from Independent Nursing care. Anyone interested should bring an insurance card. Shots will be paid for through insurance. VFW ham, turkey raffle set

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 416 will hold a ham and turkey raffle at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the post, 19 Spring St., Williamsville. Watercolor, jewelry classes set

JCC Ski Club now accepting reservations

The JCC Ski Club is now accepting reservations for skiers in sixth through 12th grades for trips to Kissing Bridge. The season begins Jan. 6 and continues through March 2. Free computer classes set at center

The Western New Workforce Development Center, 3871 Harlem Road, will offer free courses to the community. The courses are scheduled at a variety of times, with three locations to choose from. Kenmore Quilter's show set

St. Mary's Craft Show set for Nov. 11

St. Mary's School in Swormville will hold its 25th Annual Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 in the Parish Center, 6919 Transit Road, East Amherst. Ski club accepting members

The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo, North Campus, will present Tango Buenos Aires at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Mainstage Theatre. Comprising a dance troupe and live tango orchestra, Tango Buenos Aires is one of Argentina's great cultural exports. Lions Club garage sale set for Oct. 6

The Amherst Lions Club will hold a garage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst. Every $6 raised at the sale will save the sight of someone around the world through the Lions "Campaign SightFirst II," which is in the process of raising $150 million for vision programs.
