OF LOCAL LAW

Notice is hereby given of the adoption of a Local Law No. 11 - 2007, "A Local Law To Prohibit Illicit Discharge, Activities and Connections To The Storm Water Sewer System, To Control Erosion and Sediment Discharges, and To Conserve and Protect Streams In The Town Of Amherst, Repealer." This Local Law was adopted at the Town Board meeting held September 17, 2007.

This Local Law added a new Chapter to the Code of the Town of Amherst, Chapter 172, with respect to the establishment of a stream conservation law, prohibiting illicit discharges into the storm water systems, and controlling stream erosion and sediment discharges at construction sites and into town waterways.

OF LOCAL LAW

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Amherst on October 1, 2007 at 7:30 p.m., prevailing time, at the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York 14221, to hear all persons interested in a proposed Local Law entitled "A Local Law To Provide An Assessment Exemption for Certain Residential Property Rehabilitations."

This Local Law would amend Chapter 175 of the Code of the Town of Amherst by adding a new article, Article IX, which would provide an assessment exemption for certain residential property rehabilitation.

Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for inspection at the Office of the Amherst Town Clerk, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York 14221, during regular business hours. This notice is provided pursuant to Town Law §130 and Chapter 28 of the Code of the Town of Amherst.
