WBA to host healthcare forum on Oct. 4

The Williamsville Business Association Business Development Forum will present its second annual program for small business owners from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Williamsville Meeting House and Museum, 5653 Main St.

This year's seminar is called "Healthcare Concerns for Small Businesses."

Guest speakers at the event will be Gary Henderson and Assemblyman Jim Hayes, R-Amherst.

Henderson is a specialist on account-based health benefits, including Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement arrangements. He has helped pioneer innovations in the retirement plan market as it has shifted from a defined benefit to defined contribution structure over the past 25 years. He is a chartered financial analyst and benefit consultant.

Hayes, first elected to the New York State Assembly in 1998, was, in 2006, named Ranking Minority Member of the Assembly's Ways and Means Committee, which oversees issues related to raising and spending tax revenue. He also sponsors an annual health fair in Amherst.

The seminar is open to the public, and pizza and beverages will be provided by WBA members.

Parking will be available in the rear of the meeting house.

Reservations are required as space in the meeting house is limited.

For reservations, call Dan Fogel at 634-2500 or e-mail info@ brodylaw. com.
