Town restarts Rensch Road rezoning procedure
      Residents of Rensch Road told the Amherst Town Board on Monday that its lack of efficiency is costing them money. When the board voted to rescind its vote to rezone 13 parcels on Rensch Road, following a lawsuit by the University at Buffalo last month, some of the residents found themselves with two homes.

School resource officer approved for Sweet Home
      The concept of having a school resource officer on duty in an Amherst institution is one step closer to reality. The Amherst Town Board Monday night approved a resolution to loan a full-time police officer to the Sweet Home Central School District. The full cost of salary and benefits for the officer - for 10 months - will be covered by the district.

Millard Fillmore Suburban reaches halfway mark
Emergency room volume increases
      To the untrained eye one might wonder how Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital's reconstruction project will be completed in just four short months but President Christopher Lane says it will happen. The 128,000-square-foot expansion in front of the hospital stands as a two-story maze with open walls, dirt-covered floors and poles indicating where rooms will be.

He claims he doesn't know about it yet it was formed on Jan. 16, a meeting that he attended.
