Snyder Fire Department installs 2007 officers, board members

Firematic and administrative officers of the Snyder Fire Department were installed on Dec. 16 at a dinner held in the fire headquarters.

Elected firematic captains for 2007 were Burton Bugbee, Michael Gugliuzza, Brian Januszkiewicz, Timothy Oliver and Anders Sorensen.

Lieutenants named were Jeff Blatz, Michael Lowe, Thomas Neuman, Jesmit Patel and Russell Talma.

Administrative board officers are President Alan Craik, vice president Megan Balcom, Secretary William Balcom, Treasurer Jeffrey Schake and Line Clerk Eugene Kremzier.

Board of directors are Thomas Kenney, Charles Pearson, Duane Probst, James Sullivan and Peter Voss. Adam Johnson and Nicholas Sada will serve on the examining board.

The Snyder Fire Department provides service to approximately 6-square miles with more than 20,000 residents. The department had more than 900 calls in 2005. The current fire chief is Allan L. Brown and Thomas Merrill and Paul Griebner are assistant fire chiefs.
