Boy’s craving for onion causes argument

Friday, Dec. 8
• A 55-year-old female, wearing a coat with a hood, was harassing customers as they entered a Millersport Highway store.
An Evans Street resident complained about a female who was delivering phone books and pounded on the door. When the complainant wouldn’t open the door, the woman gave the complainant the finger.
A fight was reported on the lawn of Pizza Hut on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
A town resident reported receiving several collect calls from the Erie County Correctional Facility during the night and early morning hours. The complainant was going to contact the phone provider for information about the calls.
Saturday, Dec. 9
Two females, both wearing bubble jackets, were observed placing goods under their jackets by Boulevard Mall security. The women were taken into custody.
Two youths were starting small fires on Glenridge Drive.
Three males were selling PlayStation 3s from a vehicle on Niagara Falls Boulevard. They had receipts for the game systems purchased at Best Buy and were advised by police.
On Campbell Boulevard, a resident’s neighbor’s pickup truck was stuck in the back yard and caused damage to the complainant’s lawn.
A man carrying a 12-pack was seen staggering in the middle of Mona Drive, headed toward Eggert Road. He was gone when police arrived.
Sunday, Dec. 10
The owner of a Maple Road apartment reported his concern that an evicted tenant may have cut the power in order to flood the basement.
An East Summerset Lane resident requested the patrol after neighborhood youths threw two eggs at her car.
Police responded to Niagara Falls Boulevard for an alleged illegal parked car in a handicapped spot. The car was not parked illegally, and the patrol removed the nasty note left on the car by the complainant.
A woman reported that while walking her dog on Schoelles Road she was charged by three dogs, which has been an ongoing problem.
Monday, Dec. 11
A person reported spotting a man in dark clothing standing in the middle of Harlem Road.
A complainant called about a large dip in the roadway on Maple Road that was causing drivers to blow tires and lose hubcaps. A 10-inch drop was located, and Erie County was notified.
A Leonore Road resident complained that someone cut the electrical lines to her Christmas decorations — again.
Five or six laundry bags were causing a road obstruction on Interstate 290.
Tuesday, Dec. 12
A call was placed from Seabrook Drive about an argument between a grandparent and a 15-year-old grandson. The argument started about the grandson peeling an onion in the living room, and the call was placed because he was eating the onion and the complainant thought that was bizarre.
A motorist driving south on Millersport Highway reported hitting
an airborne deer after it had been struck in the northbound lane by another motorist. Minor damage to the second vehicle was reported.
A youth on an all-terrain vehicle almost ran several walkers off Transit Road.
Wednesday, Dec. 13
An Albion Avenue resident reported a missing vehicle. The complainant sounded intoxicated and said he thought his roommate might have taken it. The report was canceled.
Christmas lights and decorations were stolen from a Lehn Springs Drive residence.
Two female students were caught smoking marijuana in the ladies room of Sweet Home High School. One female was taken to headquarters for disorderly conduct and harassment.
Thursday, Dec. 14
A male, approximately 16 years old, wearing a Burger King uniform, reportedly stole a six-pack of beer from a Maple Road store.
Police investigated a call to a resident in which the caller said in a thick accent to “get down, there was going to be a driveway shooting.” Police suspected it was a prank.
Two teens were throwing trees at passing cars on Youngs Road. One vehicle had damage to the windshield, and another had damage to the driver-side door. Police had an address for the suspects.
