Giovanna M. Bona, 44, of Amherst, a health technician, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

Born in Buffalo, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and Canisius College, where she majored in psychology and gerontology.
Ms. Bona worked as a behaviorial health technician for Transitional Services for two years until her illness.
Ms. Bona enjoyed skiing, photography and dancing. She was a member of the Canisius College Alumni Association and St. Gregory the Great Church of which she was active in its CYO.
Ms. Bona is survived by her father, Dr. Nicholas of Williamsville; and a brother, Dr. Joseph of Atlanta, Ga.
Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 at the (Amherst Chapel) Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner of Hopkins Road.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. from St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct. at Maple Road.
