In the Military

Capt. Eric M. Alderson, son of Thomas N. and Teressa P. Alderson of Williamsville, has been awarded the Bronze Star for distinctive exemplary actions while serving in a combat zone in Iraq. Alderson graduated from Williamsville South High School in 1999 and Brockport State College in 2003. He is a field artillery platoon leader, and upon completion of a one year deployment to Iraq, he will be returning to the 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Co., where he will be at home with his wife, Shana Alderson.
