Announcements The Buffalo Choral Arts Society will conduct mid-season auditions for the remainder of its 2006-2007 season at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at St. Joseph’s University Church on Main Street near Winspear in Buffalo. The group is seeking singers for all voice parts. Prospective auditioners are asked to prepare a solo from any published source. A new series of dances in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall will feature the Jim Tudini Band. The Buffalo Museum of Science announces its holiday hours: Closed Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25; and New Year’s Day, Monday, Jan. 1. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 through Saturday, Dec. 30, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. New Year’s Eve, Sunday, Dec. 31. The museum will resume its regular hours on Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Musket firings will take place from Dec. 26-30. Squeaky Wheel is launching a new production initiative called “Channels — Stories from the Niagara Frontier.” The program matches documentary filmmaking with grass roots initiatives and groups to document cultural and social movements that significantly impact the Buffalo region, but are underreported by mainstream media. The Amherst Players are accepting submissions for their 2007 Festival of One Acts, May 18 and 19. Sought are original monologues and short one-act plays that will be produced by the Amherst Players.
