ASSOCIATE DENTIST — Dr. William Plumb DDS of East Amherst has been named the new associate dentist at Gentle Dentistry in East Aurora. He is from San Diego and a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.
APPOINTED — Thomas J. Behan of Williamsville was recently appointed to assistant vice president, small business development officer by Five Star Bank. He will be responsible for development and growth of small business accounts, including loans, lines of credit and deposit accounts for Five Star Bank in Erie and Niagara counties.
SUPPORT ASSOCIATE — Katie Pidgeon of Williamsville recently joined the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, Inc. as a support associate. She will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions supporting the institute. Pidgeon worked previously as an office manager at United Graphics Inc.
COMMUNITY SERVICE — Patrick Mahoney was recently awarded AIA Buffalo/WNY’s Community Service Award for 2006. He is a project manager at Lauer-Manguso & Associate Architects in Amherst. Mahoney is vice president of the Graycliff Conservancy and chairman of the Design Committee and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
MARKETING DIRECTOR — Dan Hanssel of Williamsville was recently named as Time Warner Cable's Buffalo Division marketing director. Hanssel's responsibilities include managing the marketing team, and consumer and business class marketing program development and management. Previously, he was director of product management with CTE in Wilkes Barre, Penn.
