Elizabeth M. Eberl, 88, of Amherst, a clerical assistant, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, in Sisters of Charity Hospital.

Born in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Nardin Academy and attended D’Youville College.

During World War II, Mrs. Eberl worked at Curtis Wright. She later

worked many years as a clerical assistant then senior aide at Senior Supportive Services, retiring in March.

Mrs. Eberl volunteered at Canisius High School and Nardin Academy. She was also parish secretary at Christ the King Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Gregory the Great Perpetual Adoration.

Her husband of 17 years, Edward, died in 1961.

Mrs. Eberl is survived by two daughters, Mary E. and Anne Martin; and a son, Edward G.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Dec. 9 from St. Gregory the Great Church after prayers from Amigone Funeral Home.
