Scott D. Bogan and Kristen A. Helmbrecht

Arlene and Donald Helmbrecht of Akron announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Ann Helmbrecht, to Scott D. Bogan, son of Betty Bogan of Levittown, Pa., and Dan Bogan of Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Miss Helmbrecht is a 1998 graduate of Clarence High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Montana at Missoula in 2002 and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in early childhood special education from the University of Montana at Missoula in 2006. She is a special education teacher at Stevensville Elementary.

Her fiance earned his bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Montana at Missoula. He is a Navy veteran and a Wildland Forest firefighter stationed in Idaho.

An October 2007 wedding in Stevensville, Mont., is planned.
