Intoxicated man passes out in taxi, driver unable to wake him

Friday, Nov. 24
• Police were called to a parking lot on Maple Road where someone was doing donuts and spinning out.
A generator was stolen out of a vehicle that was parked in a lot on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
A hysterical Beresford Court woman called to report she had hired a handyman to install Christmas lights, but the lights weren't working. She didn't want to pay for the work and was concerned the handyman would be upset.
A car drove through a garage on Fox Chapel Court causing minor damage to the garage door.
Police were called to Niagara Falls Boulevard to check on an intoxicated male who was crossing back and forth into the street and falling over.
Saturday, Nov. 25
Larceny was reported at a Niagara Falls Boulevard store after a female ran off with 10 cartons of cigarettes.
A passing motorist reported to police that two males wearing knit hats were standing on Mapleview Drive "smoking a blunt."
On Niagara Falls Boulevard, a man called, screaming that he had bleach in his eyes and hung up. Assistance responded, and the male signed off on help.
A store on Niagara Falls Boulevard reported finding a black leather jacket on the ground with marijuana in it. The jacket was returned to the suspect's girlfriend, and she was charged with larceny.
A Countryside Lane resident called for help after he poured two drain chemicals into the sink and believed he was overcome by fumes. The house was ventilated.
Sunday, Nov. 26
A vehicle on Sheridan Drive was found sitting on cinder blocks with all tires and rims gone.
On Troy Del Way, a passerby reported that she saw two suspicious males with a ladder up against a house. The men were contractors looking for something left on the roof.
A suspicious male in his 40s wearing a fur coat and carrying a large suitcase was reportedly going in and out of a North French Road store. The subject left without the suitcase, which police reported was empty.
Christmas lights were cut at an Audubon Drive residence sometime during the night.
A cab driver called police from Transit Road about a male customer who was passed out in the cab, and the driver could not wake him. He had driven the man from Chippewa Street in Buffalo. Police escorted the taxi to the man's residence where he paid his fare.
Monday, Nov. 27
Police were called to a pharmacy on Alberta Drive where a female picked up her prescription, which cost $100, threw down a $20 bill and left. The suspect later returned to make restitution.
On Chassin Avenue a man was reportedly taking items out of his deceased neighbor's house.
A Margaret Road resident called police to report a dead rat near the back door.
A chair was thrown through the side window of a residence on Millersport Highway sometime during the weekend.
A group of youths ripped off red ribbons that had been tied to trees on Albion Avenue.
An unwelcome guest was reported on Sovereign Court. The girlfriend of a 16-year-old boy was standing in the street screaming at the complainant. She was picked up by her father.
Tuesday, Nov. 28
A suspicious male was reported on Mill Street. He was wearing a dark coat and backpack and was trying to start a fight with himself. He then took off running and was located by police.
On Maple Road a complainant reported that when he went to an ATM machine on Maple Road the man inside left, leaving behind a female's bank card in the machine. The white male was described as older, wearing jeans and a jean coat.
On Transit Road a complaint was made about Burger King customers throwing garbage in the complainant's lot.
An Arcade Avenue resident requested assistance regarding three holes in the yard that had been dug by some kind of animal.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
The manager of a Sheridan Drive business reported that three employees were fist fighting. One was arrested for assault.
Larceny of cigarettes was reported at a John James Audubon Parkway store. The suspect was a female, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with bad teeth. She was assisted by a man driving a getaway car.
A Transit Road bank clerk reported being threatened by a man wearing a turban and driving a Mercedes with Mississippi plates.
A TV was found on the side of a house on Argyle Avenue. Police reported that it belonged to a neighbor, whose son took it out of the house and left it there.
Thursday, Nov. 30
The manager of a Main Street store reported that a suspect gave some type of drugs to an employee.
On Niagara Falls Boulevard someone reported a "pot belly pig (was) stuck." The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was called to assist.
A town resident reported that her children were terrified by a squirrel in the house, and she was at least 20 minutes from getting home. Police responded, and the critter was scared out of the house.
A female took a hair straightener valued at $100 from a Main Street store and left on foot.
A bloody syringe was found in a parking lot on Evans Street.
