'Johnny Rockets' launches into Boulevard Mall

National chain restaurant Johnny Rockets has landed in the Boulevard Mall and is now serving up burgers and shakes to the masses.

Dining in a Johnny Rockets restaurant is like a trip back in time, to an era gone by, when love-struck teenagers shared milkshakes after attending the picture show.

For more than 20 years, Johnny Rockets has offered the food, fun and friendliness reminiscent of feel-good Americana.

Every Johnny Rockets restaurant offers its guests simple, great-tasting food from a menu of all-American favorites, including juicy hamburgers, hand-dipped shakes and malts and freshly baked apple pie.

Guests also enjoy an all-American diner look and feel, servers who know the secret behind getting ketchup out of the bottle, tabletop jukeboxes that belt out tunes for a nickel and authentic Eco.

"Our motto here is good, better, best, never let it rest until the good is better and the better is best," said Johnny Rockets Manager Chuck Dembowski, who was in town from Victor, to help with the opening of the company's newest restaurant.

The Johnny Rocket's concept was founded in June of 1986 in California with the concept of a 1950's diner in mind.

Dembowski said the idea behind the restaurant is to give people a little glimpse of how life was in the 1950's - which is what Johnny Rockets has tried to create.

"The Buffalo area is a good match for Johnny Rockets and our concept of great food and fun atmosphere," said Mike Shumsky, chairman and CEO, The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc. "We've already received a warm welcome from the community, and we're excited to open our third location here."
